Do you ever see Yukizuri create Winter Scenery in nature ? Why there are huge tringle frames in the garden? They are there to protect trees from heavy snow damage the tree. Yukizuri Create Winter Scenery 

It was nice to visit Portland Japaness Garden when the maple trees showed the best Fall Color.

We were so lucky to have WCCLS Advanture Pass Available for reseving a pass to visit Portland Japaness Garden.

It was nice to step away from work and enjoy the natural while hiking in Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Wahclella Falls.

I know how important to make work life balance well; therefore to take a break from the lab is necessary.

Pittock Mansion is located near Forest Park and it is Portland's Finest Historic House Museum.

The weekend before Fall term started, we were able to use get free admission via  Washington County Cooperative Library Services. WCCLS Adventure Pass

Portland Japaness Garden is a beautiful to talk a walk but the admission price is high for me. Luckily I was able to book the Advanture Pass from WCCL in order to visit the garden for free.

It was a super hot Saturday when the heat wave arrived. Most visitors walked to the natural garden or tea garden after they entered.

Past years I heard friends talking about how beautiful the zoo light, but I did not have a chance to see it in person. 

This year I was able to join the international student group and enjoyed taking pictures of the zoo lights.

Lan Su Chinese Garden is located in downtown of Portland, old town China Town.

If you can't go far , it is good to visit Lan Su Chinese Garden by taking public transpoation.

Since we are living in the global Pandemic, I had long time not to enjoy the outdoor park. Luckily the Bank of America offers museum on us, I was able to take the walk in Japanese Garden for free.

The garden designs the walking paths into one way route, and it is nice to see some pictures of healing Nature.

Each time when I was on I-84 from Hood River to Portland, I always curious what made lots cars parking along this outdoor park.

Finally I had a chance to enjoy this easy hiking trail.

Multnomah Fall is a beautiful landmark along I-84 in Oregon.

The hike trail to the top of Falls is not very far away from the information center. We spent less than one hour to get on the top. 

When I returned to the US from Taiwan, I had a chance to visit International Rose Test Garden. Finally I have time to write it down.

上個月初從台灣回來後剛好去了日本庭園還有庭園對面的玫塊花園，為了讓台灣朋友看到來自玫塊花城的玫瑰花照片，當然要在陣雨來臨前多拍一些照片才能有圖有真相!

( It is a free garden, but the parking spot are very limited. Highly recommended to come by Trimet to Washington Park then take the free shuttle bus.)

Portland Japaness Garden is always on my to-go list, but the admission fee is a little higher than I expect. 一直好想找機會去逛逛波特蘭的日本庭園,但又覺得門票價格有些貴所以只能看著照片想像一下!

Luckily, I am holding a credit card from Bank of America, and it provides free general admission at several participating institutions on the first full weekend of every month.還好我所使用美國銀行的信用卡給客戶的優惠：每一個的第一個週末會有些免費參觀的地方⋯⋯仔細一看,發現日本庭園也有在清單上,當然要保握機會趁著毛毛雨可能遊客較少的時候來去走走！

This year the cherry blossoms at Tom McCall Waterfront Park comes a little late, not during the apring break.

The weather was too good to take a good picture.

When there are friends come to visit Portland, most of time the Portland Rose Garden in Washington Park will be on a must-see list, and we also add the Tram on the list. By the way, even you have a Hop fastpass, you still need to get the ticket before you take the train. Since our friends will take off in few hours, we decide to show them a sky bird view of the city.

There are several ways to get to OHSU.  For example, taking public transit i.e. Bus, Light Rail, Train. The Fare for the Tram is round way, and you only show it once to the staff on your way upto OHSU. When there are friends come to visit Portland, most of time the Portland Rose Garden in Washington Park will be on a must-see list, and we also add the Tram on the list.

When the the spring term comes, the cherry trees are blossoming for us to take a walk in waterfront park.

This year I can not take pictures of Cherry Blossoms at Portland’s Waterfront Park since I returned Taiwan for work.

I used to read The Oregonian and watch Katu News to get local weather and events for Portland. Now I can only do it on line since I accept a job offer in my home town.
To live in Portland for five years, I do have a lot of sweet memories in town.

The Oregon zoo provides a fun and safe setting for this Halloween tradition, where costumed trick-or-treaters learn about wildlife in a fun scavenger hunt throughout the zoo all weekend.

The past weekend I went to summer picnic in the Park. To have carpool and ride sharing with friends gave me a chance to join this event at Benson State Recreation Area,
Corbett, Oregon 97014.

I always dream about visiting lavender farm in Plateau De Valensole, French or Hokkaido, Japan. Luckily, I have a chance to come by Helvetia lavender Farm with my friends without flying to different countries.

It becomes a good way for me to relax by visiting friends in Hood River.
