Well, this has been a crazy experience and I'm still in total denial that it is finally over. 1 year of physics in just 9 weeks has been one of the biggest challenges I had to complete.

I'm so proud that we did it.

In the past, I was not notice the climate change effects us so fast.

Until the winter snow storem came few months ago, and recently heat-wave warning.

First of all, I want to sending a special shout out to Bank of America for museums on us.

Therefore, I can enjoy specific collections and works at Portland Art Museum.

Last month there was a heat wave caused by climate change.

Luckily this month we have sunny summer with some evening breeze. 

When I checked my calander last week, I found out Dragon Boat Festival day was right at the corner. Therefore, I went to Asian Market to get some Chinese Sticky Rice Dumpling.

This is a sweet boiled dumpling stuffed with red bean paste. It costs $6.39 for two Red bean Rice dumpling.

The Japanese Curry Paste was from my care package which my family sent to me a couple months ago.

I only know one way to make curry meal.

Prepare quater onion, two potato, few baby carrot, and tofu. Cut all ingredients into small cubes.

This is just an assignment for the course requirement.

This physics seminar was combined two groups’ researches on the topics related to the greenhouse gas emission. They discussed the reason for the research to pick carbon dioxide (CO₂) or methane (CH₄), and talked about the method on analysing ODOT traffic data in Portland metro area. It was a very useful talk for understanding the sources of the greenhouse gas and what can be used in the data collection and analysis.

Spring blooming is always so attractive, and I did pick some flowers for making a Mother's Day card.

It took almost one month to dry the flowers before I could glue the flowers on the card.

It was very impressed from the seminar hold by Physics department about theoretical studies in both applied and fundamental physics. 

       Applied physics can be separated into plasmonics and surface optics. Plasmonics is optics with metallic nanostructure or dielectric structures. Surface optics include negative refraction, Goos-Hanchen shifts, and hyperbolic metamaterial. His research in fundamental physics is based on photon mass, apparent incompatibility between relativity and Quantum Mechanics, and reciprocity symmetry in wave propagation. The important fact is without fundamental knowledge, there is nothing to apply. 

Spring flowers blooming is here for sure. While walking around campus, I was able to take pictures of tulips in front of the bookstore.

在校園發現雙色鬱金香開在書店前的小花圃，除了早晚溫差大外，真的有春暖花開的感覺！

Two years ago I was trained to work in the machine shop,but I wasn't able to get confidence to work there without others.

Last month, I got the safety training for the machine shop again. Finally, this week I was able to touch a lathe and drilling machine.

I been waiting for the care package to arrive since My family asked if I needed something for Chinese New Year.

it took three weeks for EMS package to arrive my apartment.

Due to heavy snow everything is slowing down for sure.

Need to drive with snow chains on. Looks easier to just walk on the street instead of driving around.

Since we are parenting in a pandemic, I spend more time on cooking for a healthy meal. Especially I start to eat more veggies than meat during this difficult time.

Taking courses primarily remote keeps me sit in front of my laptop for long time. When I see the blue sky outside, I take a short walk on campus.
