It is one of my dream to study abroad when I was a young child.
Last year I came by myself to make my dream come true. Sometimes I got a little homesick, but my friends were very kind to me, and they took care of me; therefore I overcame my nervous. ( Most of ESL students have many obstacles to overcome.)
Well, jet leg didn't bother me in the beginning. I was excited to study abroad.
My luck's in, and I met several nice classmates and instructors. I tried hard to adapt myself to the new conditions. This year I will start the new stage to become a graduate student. I have to change my reading habits, not only skinning and scanning, but also absorbing those research papers. ( A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.)
After visiting my hometown during summer break, I feel confident in the future.
其實到國外讀書一直是我學生時期的夢想。只是當一些夢想和現實生活相互有抵觸的時候,夢想就僅只於夢想,還好去年下定決心辭去令人稱羡的電子業工作,著手計畫實現心目中曾經遙不可及的心願,剛開始的時差只是小小的問題,溝通上因為面對的也是要ＥＳＬ的學生,大家都是在錯誤中學習,所以很快的就能進入狀況,那一陣子密集的課程算是過的還不錯！
直到暑假修了研究所與大學部合開的課程,才讓我的腦袋遇到前所未見的衝擊,我承認自己記憶不好需要靠努力用功才能有效學習,但每週兩次四個半小時的課,外加每周需繳交的報告,讓我真的碰到瓶頸,因為在語言中心學到的是用ＡＰＡ方式將所需的文章引用到報告中,可是教授規定的作業格式需用ＭＬＡ的方式,那陣子面對無止盡的英文閱讀,除了專業術語之外還要找出各篇重點用自己的話語或是直接部份引用到報告中,天阿！恨不得自己的時間比別人多兩倍,不過很快的暑假課程結束,搬好宿舍就可以開始放暑假了！
這次回台灣吃些美食之後我有種能量滿滿,準備好面對下一學年的ＦＥＥＬ！
