The social distances order makes this term even harder for us to attend any seminar. So our instructor asked us to find some interesting videos related to our field and write something about the presentation.
The following is what I wrote for the assignment.
https://www.ted.com/talks/
The speaker, Brian Greene, is a famous physicist in superstring theorist who is a professor at Columbia University since 1996. His field of research is in superstring theory which combines quantum mechanics and general relativity. He started the mystery of the universal is fixed as static dimension, and then he found out that was a wrong statement. At the end he talked about the Big Bang.
From Albert Einstein’s general relativity to Brian Greene’s explanation of superstring theory, physicist stated the science behind the phenomenon that helps us to understand what were hidden facts in the real world. Especially the Big Bang created our universe which is not just a planet of the solar system but also many similar systems in different spaces. This talk gives the big picture not only the universe but also the galaxies. Even the experimental physicist might not able to prove the statement in the lavatory, since it is hard to force the speed to be greater than the light for showing the universal’s big bang made the space expanding with super fast speed, but I do believe in the dark energy and some small details really matter in the real world.
The style of the prevention is an easy follow talk since he provided simple examples in the talk. Such as what makes the earth be a good planet for us to live. He really makes things clear by related to something we already know. Therefore, I want to watch more videos that he explained other theories.
