Portland Japaness Garden is always on my to-go list, but the admission fee is a little higher than I expect.

admission fee:

  • Adult $18.95
  • Senior (65+) $16.25
  • Student $15.25
  • Youth (6-17) $13.50
  • Child (5 and under) Free

Luckily, I am holding a credit card from Bank of America, and it provides free general admission at several participating institutions on the first full weekend of every month.

If you plan to visit Portland Japaness Garden, you can take the TriMet and then change to free shuttle like us.

(Since there are limited parking space in between the International Rose Garden and Japaness Garden, it is highly recommended to get on a bus or Max to come here.

Take the Red or Blue line MAX train to the Washington Park stop (aka, the Zoo) and then take a free Explore Washington Park shuttle to the Garden.

In the past I always went to Art Museum, but this time I went to Portland Japaness Garden.

Even it was a rainy day, this garden was as peaceful as usual.
