I was a customer of AT&T for few years, but I transfer to T-mobile today.
The main issue is to cost down the phone bill.So I change my phone service from AT&T to T mobile now!
I need to give the IMEI number from the back of my device to AT&T for unlocking my phone, and I also need to provide account number, pin number to T-mobile.

Unlock your device
When referring to unlocking a device, there are four specific types of unlocks that are separate and unique:
Activation Lock - Apple iOS 7 or later devices includes a new feature called Activation Lock designed to prevent anyone else from using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch if you ever lose it. It starts working the moment you turn on Find My iPhone
Carrier unlock - To unlock your AT&T phone or tablet to work on another wireless carrier's network, request an unlock code online at att.com/deviceunlock.
Device screen unlock - You can require a PIN, password, or pattern to unlock your device screen to protect your device against unauthorized use. If you forget your screen lock PIN, password, or pattern, visit our Troubleshoot & Resolve tool for help unlocking your device.
SIM unlock - For additional security beyond a screen lock, you can require a PIN code to prevent your SIM from being used in any device without entering the PIN code. If your PIN code is entered incorrectly more than three times, your device will request a PUK code (PIN Unlock Key) in order to unlock the SIM.
Once you've determined the type of unlock you need, look below for details to unlock your device.

Step two is to receive a Confirmation Email from AT&T.

Step three is to receive the following message with the title "ATT MOBILE DEVICE UNLOCK REQUEST RECEIVED"
Thank you for contacting AT&T Customer Care about unlocking your AT&T Mobile device.

We have reviewed your request and confirmed that the device may be unlocked. You should complete the unlock process before porting out your number for use with another carrier.

Please allow 24 hours upon receipt of this notification to complete the unlock process.

雖然使用AT&T幾年來，我有把電話掛在朋友的家庭合約下，但是一個月要付美金三十塊的通話費（不包含網路），和使用的朋友T-mobile閒聊發現他們一個月付美金25但是包含網路。
因為之前換了跟微軟買的windows phone，以為那是沒綁約的手機，沒想到換了電信公司後才發現竟然還要輸入解鎖碼，而且到AT&T門市，他們的服務人員表示只能上AT&T的網站要求解鎖，他們的門市人員不能幫我處理，於是又在搜尋電信公司的網頁提出解鎖要求，同時我也致電客服中心詢問解鎖問題，他們說我由家庭合約轉成預付卡不到一個月，所以也許不能要求解鎖，問題是我已經使用這個門號三年了，在那兩年的家庭合約之前也用了同門號近一年的無合約的預付卡電話，實在不懂為何他們無法幫我的手機解鎖，希望反映過後他們能進快處理讓我可以重新使用手機。
