Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum is a good place to find your peace of mind and enjoy the surrounds.
During my short trip home, I was able to visit this museum even though the weather was not good.
Try to slow down and listen to your heart you might find it is mind refresh path.
There are several restaurants available in the museum. You can easy find a spot to sit and take some rest if needed.
You can either take bus or drive to this museum.
We are always satisfied the meal at Cha for Tea.
During my short trip last month, I had a meal plan at Ten Ren’s Cha For Tea since it is one of my checklist items each time I visit my hometown. Not only their tea-infused dishes but also their take-home snacks. Luckily there is a bus route nearby for me to enjoy the dishes at the dream mall location.
My friend made the reservation for us to eat lunch here and we learned that we needed to use the QR code for us to order dishes.I ordered Green Tea Chicken with American Ginseng with rice, and I also added a side dish “popcorn chicken” since it is something I always enjoy. The tea flavored wonton soup is so tasty. I would come back to this restaurant next time when I am in town.
The popcorn chicken is paired with special powders and we enjoyed it.
This is a good place to have a cup of tea and meal.
When the air quality is not good in the city, it is time to find a park for fresh air.
Luckliy we were able to go for a hike to refresh our mind in the LL Stub Stewart State park.
The day use park is $10, and there are several trails available for hiker or biker. You can also ride your horses in the park.
We were able to see different views in the park including finding spiders and wildflowers.
It is a nice place to enjoy a day hike.
My little "SeaStar Flower" (*Stapelia grandiflora*) might bloom once a year.
When I divided the plant earlier this year—it had become quite overcrowded—I worried I might accidentally damage it. But while watering it this morning, I discovered that tiny flower buds had quietly begun to emerge!
It is a hot summer so it is important to keep drinking water everyday.

The Leach Botanical Garden is a very nice place to walk around during weekends.
Since the bridge finally rebuilt rebuilt this year, I really want to visit the garden when the weather is nice.
Walking on the tree bridge provides bird eye view for visitors.
The new bridge comes with a mechanical design to rise it up when the heavy flood comes .
Both sides of the garden have the unique parts for all ages to have good time.
During spring break, I saw cherry bloom pictures on social media. However, I wasn't able to take walk over waterfront park.
Fortunely, flowers on campus are bloomed as well. If the sky was blue instead of gray, the pictures would be much better looking.

In our lab there are lots of projects required hand-on skill to build unit for making things go smoothly.
This tiny motor is needed to connect with a control unit, so I made a 3D printed box to hold the unit. However, those dimensions were hard to get it right the first place.
Unfortunately, my original connection did not turn out as good as my advisor's expaction, so he redid the design with different parts.
The length of the wires needs to take into consideration.
Redo the design then print new one out.
Portland Winter Light Festival
It was once a year event happened in the winter time.
Lights were setup colorful to make the building change the vibe.
Right before the sky getting dark, the lights were showing on different screens.
People walked around even it was a little wet outside.
There was a surprising gift sent to me before the Lunar New Year.

It is almost the end of year 2025, and I received birthday plus christmas gifts from friends.
I want to say happy holidays to all my friends and family.
The angle in the middle was from Grandma who gave me this gift a while back.
The evil eye candle was my birthday gift which supposes to protect me against the evil eye.
I receive gift cards from uncle and his wife , and I can use the gift card to get what I need in the holiday season.
