Just received an "unexpected surprising gift " from the college after my birthday.

Oregon winter weather: Snow, ice, freezing rain will make Thursday a bad day for travel！

Due to the winter storm warning in effect in the greater Portland metro area, all Clackamas Community College campuses will be closed Thursday, Dec. 8. All classes, events and activities are canceled on all CCC campuses. Shuttle service is also canceled.

It is expected that tomorrow’s storm will be an unusually strong one, with snow accumulating quickly, road conditions deteriorating rapidly and the possibility of freezing rain later in the day.

It is atypical to make a weather closure decision in anticipation of an event. However, we are taking into consideration the timing of this storm’s arrival – 10 a.m. – as we want to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Please keep a watch for updates regarding the college’s status for Friday.
